Possibly the most challenging part of creating this website has been writing the dreaded 'About' page. As a photographer we stand comfortably behind the lens with the focus (see what I did there) and attention on the client, not us. I'm Neil, recently turned 30, from Pembrokeshire. For some time I have struggled with what I really wanted to do as a career, until recently. As the old saying goes "Do what you love doing and you'll never work a day in your life". This couldn't be more true.
Initially, I attended Aberystwyth University gaining a degree in Business Information Technology, however, my passion for photography has been bubbling away in the background for a number of years.
In 2015, my (now) wife and I jetted off on a 4 month Round The World trip visiting 11 Countries. This trip really kickstarted my passion for photography and began to teach me to look beyond what first meets the eye. There is beauty to be seen in everything and everybody around us. This trip inspired me to document our story and now I want to help others do the same.
About The Team
The rest of the team consists of my glamorous assistant - Charlie, a.k.a "The Donkey". This self-given nickname stems from Charlie being loaded up with a mass of camera equipment as I shoot away. However, she has recently been in training and is becoming more involved/confident behind the lens, adding an alternate perspective and another set of eyes.
For many years, Charlie performed as a dancer on holiday parks and has been a key member in several entertainment teams. From the impossible task of organising those large group shots to ensuring the train of the bride's dress looks perfect - Charlie has got it covered!
And last but not least, there's Rupert (above) - our company mascot who rarely offers a great deal apart from moral support in long editing sessions (snoring under the desk).
Weddings can be stressful. The thought of being in front of a camera posing on que is unsettling. We get it! Recently married ourselves, we totally understand what you are going through, and we're well aware of the amount of time, planning, stress, money, (and dieting) that's involved in making your day as memorable as possible. Believe us when we say the day is over in a flash. It is therefore our job to capture as many special moments as they naturally unfold, in an unobtrusive way. We are not going to continually shout orders at you and your guests, telling you to pose a certain way. It's unnatural and is evident in the final image.
Weddings should be fun. Real emotion and natural moments are what we are about. When looking back on your photographs, we want to take you back to that exact moment, those exact feelings you and your guests were experiencing. This is what makes your day special. The true emotion and feeling of love, between you and your guests. Check out our Wedding Photography Portfolio for a sample of our work and get in touch via the Contact page.
Now let's talk about you and your Wedding...!
