Outdoor Summer Wedding at Hilton Court Gardens, Pembrokeshire - Andrew & Mia
So I guess we should turn back the clocks to May 2017 in order to give a bit of background as to how this Wedding came about. Every now and again, we like to run the odd competition on our Facebook page, (head on over here and give us a like). This time we were giving away a free engagement shoot. Long story short, Mia entered, she won, we done the shoot and they decided to book us to do their wedding photography after seeing the relaxed, documentary style in which we work.
Fast forward to September 2018 and it's wedding time at Hilton Court. Hilton Court is one of Pembrokeshire's finest outdoor wedding venues, with each wedding unique in their own way. There is no better location for a tipi wedding/marquee wedding. With the meandering woodland walks which surround the lake, this wedding venue literally offers something new every time I visit.
My wife and I actually got married here back in 2016 and cannot recommend it enough. Rachael and her team are incredible at what they do and will do everything in their power to make your wedding one to remember (I'm not on commision, I promise)!
The morning started with a trip to Mia and Andrew's house where up until around 10 minutes before I was due to leave for the bride's house, only 40% of the groomsmen were actually present. It would seem that the 'bright eyes and bushy tails' had been lost somewhere along the way around 3am the night before. At this point I feel I must give a special shoutout/congratulations to Ross, who repeatedly felt the need to inform me that 'he was the biggest man in Johnston'. A phrase that he felt the need to remind me of every time we crossed paths at the Wedding. EVERY time! Here is a shot of 'The Big Man' with his 'Big Man's Car'...
The boys, once dressed, were looking like a totally different bunch as to when we first arrived, wearing stylish tweed suits from Carmarthen based Jackie James Menswear. Dai however, who arrived later than the late arrivals, wore a two tone knit jumper accompanied with a stylish 10p bag for life.
Once we had tied things up with the boys, we raced over to Mia and the girls. We were greeted at the door by Mia, no hello's or formalities, just simply an over eager 'Can I put my dress on yet?' even though there was a good few hours until the wedding. And the award to the World's Most Excited Bride goes to..
As guests arrived, the sun shone down and the weather was perfect for an outdoor Wedding. Result! Mia was in tears from the moment she began her walk down the aisle, along with her mother/sister (who knows - they're uncanny), until the moment they were pronounced man and wife.
What a stunning Wedding! Enjoy the photos...
