Ben & Sophie - Winter Wedding Photography at Wolfscastle Country Hotel, Pembrokeshire

February 9, 2018

Christmas is one of the most chaotic times of the year. Most people are super stressed out without throwing a Wedding in to the mix. However, this didn't phase Sophie and Ben one bit...December the 27th it was!

This year I was actually in Norwich for Christmas, so had planned to make the journey across literally the widest part of the UK (Norwich to Pembroke), a day or two before the Wedding. This is a bit of a trek at the best of times without throwing in Christmas traffic, snow, 5 car accidents, an oil spill on the dual carriageway and the added pressure of having a Wedding to photograph. But we ploughed on and made it back the day before after close to 9 hours driving!

Wedding time! We kicked things off at the couples home with Ben, his father (who was still writing his speech) and the groomsmen. What started as a dark, cold morning soon turned into the sun blazing as it peaked over the horizon.

Once finished shooting with the boys, we made the short trip from Fishguard to Wolfscastle Country Hotel where the bridal party had stayed the night before. The venue looked stunning, with candy canes as wedding favours, and the sunlight casting a lovely golden light through the large glass windows of the main function room.

Sophie looked stunning and wore a vintage lace wedding gown by Anna Sorrano.

Sun; tears; a whole lotta belly chuckling from the groom; a genuine feeling of love between the couple and their families; and an appearance from Sooty & Sweep for good measure - what a day!

Sophie & Ben - we genuinely wish you a lifetime of happiness. Anybody who is in your presence can see that you are made for eachother. Thank you for both being so welcoming, it felt as though we were photographing a friends Wedding!
