Pembrokeshire Wedding Photography | Llys Meddyg, Newport | Kimmy & Luke

June 28, 2019

When Kimmy & Luke first got in touch in the early part of 2018, I knew very little of their chosen Wedding venue. However, Llys Meddyg has now without doubt, cemented itself as one of my favourite venues in Pembrokeshire as it offers such a relaxed and intimate environment. Alternative, unique, quirky, boho; whilst still posessing just the right amount of luxury and chic.

As we arrived that morning, bridal preparations were in full swing whilst the final details were being added to the venue. There was a real buzz of excitement, which was amplified by the sunshine. The beautiful flowers were created by Isobel at Wild Hector.

I always do my best to try and fit in a quick visit to the boys in the morning aswell as photographing the bridal prep. And today, this was made easier due to the fact Luke and his groomsmen were getting ready 2 minutes round the corner which enabled me to float between the two.

During the morning preparations of a Wedding, it seems as though there is plenty of time initially, and then all of a sudden, there is an hour to go and it seems as though the hands on the clock decide to double in speed.

Kimmy looked the perfect bride as she walked down the aisle wearing a Wtoo gown of corded beaded lace with a silky vintage tulle skirt and dustry rose, along with velvet sash to complement her bridesmaids. Yeah, we all know I didn't write that...Big shout out to Sally at White Bride, who helped Kimmy to find her dream dress.

The super talented Madi Phillips provided the perfect soundtrack to the bridal party's entrance.

Luke couldn't hold back the tears as he caught the first glimpse of his wife to be. I also feel I must give a special mention to Harry, Kim & Luke's son, as he looked absolutely fuming walking down the aisle with his 'Here Comes Mummy' sign, which was hand made by Luke's mum.

The cermony was one of personal touches and intimacy as the sun beamed through the marquee which is ajoined to the main building, where the Bride and Groom stepped inside along with their chosen witnesses in order to say 'the legal bit'.

Following the ceremony, everybody made their way into the venue's beautiful gardens for prosecco and canapés, whilst making the most of the weather. Shortly after, a vintage bus turned up outside in order to take everybody down to Newport beach. The bus was arranged by Luke's parents as a suprise for them, and it went down a treat. Check out the bus below - How cool is that?!

Coming down to the beach was a stroke of genuis to be fair to Kimmy & Luke, as it created such a chilled out atmosphere amongst everybody. No awkwardness or forced moments, or doing things for the sake of it just because 'that's what you do at weddings'. Just a relaxed, happy couple, surrounded by friends and family having a good ol' time at the beach. Giant Jenga, beach rounders and a campervan full of alcholic beverages. Right up my street!

Back at the venue, it was time for some exceptional food, speeches full of emotion of laughter and a packed dance floor for the remainder of the night thanks to the awesome Honey Fungus.

Kimmy and Luke - it's been an absolute pleasure and we wish you both a lifetime of happiness together!
