So, anybody in Wales, or the UK for that matter, who is involved in the Wedding industry will most certainly have Fairyhill on their radar.
In 2018, the already stunning Georgian Mansion of Fairyhill was catapulted into the 21st Century with the stunning new addition of The K room. The contrast between the old and the new perfectly compliment eachother, resulting in one of the UK's most breath-taking venues. Needless to say I was somewhat looking forward to photographing my first Wedding at Fairyhill.
It's always a bit of a gamble getting married in January, especially in Wales. However, luck was on Sam & Ben's side as the rain and wind had dissapeared for the day. It was a bitterly cold, crisp morning but the sun was shining as we arrived especially early in order to ensure we got some stunning venue shots. Note to self - must bring gloves to future January Weddings!
The Bride and Groom have allowed me to share a small sample of images from their day. Enjoy!
Over at The Coach House, Sam and her Bridesmaids were in hair & make-up, whilst Ben and his Groomsmen were getting dolled up in The Bridal Suite.
With emotions running high in what is always a lovely moment between The Father of The Bride and his Daughter, it was now time to head to 'The K Room' in order for the Wedding Ceremony to commence.
The sun continued to shine as we snuck away for a quick portrait session with the newlyweds. It's always nice to escape the chaos of the crowds for a short time and have some time to enjoy eachother's company. You don't have to be away for hours on end to get those dreamy couple shots, but it is advisable to set aside a bit of time where we can grab some quick shots away from the crowds. We promise not to keep you too long and can guarantee you will be thankful you made time once you receive your photos back!
As always, the Oldwalls / Fairyhill tradition of shots before dinner lives on!
I don't think there was a dry eye in the building during The Father of The Bride's super emotional speech, myself included.
Following a lovely, heartfelt speech from Ben the Groom, it was over to the main event - The Best Men with the slickest PowerPoint presentation I have seen at a Wedding.
What a day! What a Wedding!
