Rosedew Farm Wedding Photography | Llantwit Major | Araminta & John
If you're looking for a rustic South Wales Wedding venue - then look no further than Rosedew Farm, in Llantwit Major. The barn itself is the perfect setting for a self contained, chilled out Wedding. And as a Brucie bonus, it also happens to be a 2 minute drive from Llantwit Major Beach which makes for an incredible backdrop for those dreamy couple portraits.
To remove any risk of traffic delays/disasters on the 2 hour journey on the morning of the Wedding, we decided to make a bit of a trip of it in the campervan and stayed at the Acorn Camping and Caravan site which sits a mere 500 metres away from the venue, which is ideal for your Wedding guests. We were also able to have a good location recce before the actual Wedding day which is always valuable.
This is exactly the type of venue where you want the sun to shine, and boy did the weather not disappoint. Blue skies from start to finish allowed for a true festival feel as John & Minty's guests were entertained by local Cardiff jazz/funk band 'Ramnastax', whilst the children (and some adults) made use of the outdoor garden games.
Araminta (Minty) and John may be the most talented couple I've worked with. The Wedding was jam packed full of unique details that they had made themselves. From the artwork on the tables painted by Minty to the home brewed beers made by John. Impressive stuff!
And if that wasn't enough John even stepped up with his band in between the actual band's sets - flaring guitar for fun! See some of the coolest groom photographs near the end of the blog!
Evening entertainment was provided by Hampshire based Wedding band 'Chartz Band' who add a unique quirky sound to those classic indie/rock floorfillers.
I won't write too much else about the Wedding, as these blogs are more about the photographs. However, I can't not mention THAT dress...
Minty found her dream boho wedding dress at E&W Couture in Cardiff, which was hand made by Sophie Creed and adapted to become a bespoke piece for Minty. I'm also reliably informed that the studio is home to the cutest dog in the World.
The happy couple were an absolute joy to work with and it was a pleasure to share their day with such lovely guests. We wish you both the most amazing future.
I hope you all enjoy a sample of the photos from the day. Thanks for checking it out.
How cool does Minty look heading in to the barn?! Florence and The Machine who...?!
Hahaha! Being a massive Alan Partridge fan, this may well be one of my favourite photos I have ever taken!
