Syrencot Wedding Photographer
Alicia & Luke were guests at a Wedding I had previously photographed. They decided to book me for their own Wedding after seeing their friends photographs. For me, this is definitely my favourite way of receiving new bookings as it not only means they liked the photographs, but they were also aware of my relaxed approach to Wedding Photography.
Syrencot is a picturesque and timeless wedding venue nestled in the heart of the Hampshire countryside. Surrounded by lush gardens, rolling fields, and centuries-old trees, the estate offers the perfect blend of elegance and rustic beauty. The stunning Georgian manor house provides a grand yet intimate backdrop for a Wedding. From the picturesque Glasshouse set amongst the walled gardens to The Farmshed - a stylish, rustic barn venue that combines modern elegance with countryside charm, perfect for a relaxed yet memorable wedding celebration. From the moment I arrived, I knew we were going to create some unforgettable photographs.
This wedding exuded timeless elegance with a modern approach. From the chic black bridesmaids’ dresses to the cinematic, mob family style group shots, every detail radiated effortless cool. The black-tie theme was complimented by the all white floral theme bought to life by Posey Rose.
With both the groomsmen and bridesmaids getting ready at the venue, it allowed me to capture the morning preparations of both groups. It's always worth baring this in mind when planning where the Wedding party will be getting ready. Many couples choose to add a second photographer to their package in order to capture both parties' morning celebrations.
Once hair and make up were complete, Alicia then headed up to the main Bridal suite. By having hair and make up done elsewhere this meant that the room was totally free of clutter allowing for a calm environment to get in to her dress. I always advise pre-planning somewhere to keep tidy in order to get ready as it makes for better photographs.
Glasshouse Ceremony
Alicia & Luke invited their closest friends and family to share in their Ceremony. The Glasshouse was the perfect setting for the couple to express their deepest emotions, both writing personal vows, and I felt incredibly honoured to be there to capture these tender moments they’ll cherish for a lifetime.
VIBE
Less formal. More vibe. The couple wanted to do something slightly different with the 'formal' group shots. Black sunglasses, motorbikes, cigars and a whole lotta attitude.
And of course, we done some more traditional stuff too!
Time to celebrate
The celebrations were kicked off with a cocktail hour in the stunning walled garden, where guests sipped on refreshing Pimms amidst the picturesque surroundings before heading into The Farmshed which was tastefully styled. Everyone was in high spirits in the lead up to the speeches.
The Father of The Bride kicked off things off with a heartfelt tribute to Alicia and Luke.
Following dinner, we headed to a nearby field with the couple to make the most of the evening light. The cutting of the cake and first dance got the evening shenanigans off to a lively start and I'm sure it continued long in to the night with The Shadow Monkeys providing entertainment. This was a fantastic day to be part of and I hope to return as a Syrencot Wedding Photographer in the near future.
